With no fees for membership, IxDA relies on its passionate members and partners to help serve the needs of the Interaction Design community.
Renting venue spaces, paying speaker fees, paying workshop facilitators, flying folks in from other areas and putting them up in hotels. All these things cost money, and all local chapters are self-funded. To recoup those expenses from ticket sales alone would require prices higher than our commitment to a barrier-free member experience, would allow for.
Individual patron giving and partnerships from businesses that value UX & depend on an informed talent pool, is what makes high quality programming possible.
We are a 501(c)6 with an active Tax-ID, and are happy to provide receipts for all in-kind and cash support.
